Several questions loom this morning:  If we actually get money coming our way from the federal bailout; who's to say that we'll all spend it where we should to get the economy going?  Or will everyone now stockpile and not spend because they finally feel like there is a ceiling and that it could crashing down at any time?  We never felt like that in decades...it was always the sky is the limit.

Governor is slashing state spending.  I think it's what she is supposed to do.  Legislature was given her slaps for having no specifics on things.  Governor is doing what she's supposed to.  Legislature is asking "Where do you expect us to cut from?", and then go to the cutting boards and try their hand at it.  Or to find alternatives.  So they're doing their job.

It's the same as the federal government.  There are opposing opinions.  According to our national politicians, it's what our great country has been built upon.  The different ideas, coming together to be forged together to make for great action.

But from the public side of things; sheesh!  We get tired of hearing all the damn bickering.  I believe that there is a large part of the population that would rather just say "Fix the damn thing and be done with it....get along and quit your @#$%& bickering!"

Let's bitch about the auto companies for a second.  It's their own fault really high up on the ladder for not pushing our country towards fuel efficient vehicles.  I'm sure nobody wanted to advance the making of fuel efficient automobiles...we might as well keep everything at the status quo, keep making money...keep making gas guzzlers not thinking about anything else but their bottom line :P   *sheesh*  Now we're so far behind the ball, and the automotive companies are complaining "bail us out!"...well if you kept making the best cars in the world, which includes fuel efficient, you may not be in this big hole you are in now.  CEO's should have seen this coming as gas prices went up that people would stop buying cars.  Or maybe they didn't see it....at least not from the seats of their plush private jets.....

I've been guilty of texting while driving.  I agree with everyone.  I slow down when I text msg...and it does hamper things.  I'm not going to do it anymore.  Phone:  I use hands free, so not bad.  Hands free, you don't slow down like you do when using the phone normally by holding it by your ear.  Good move....but talking to the Mayor on the air this morning, how are they going to implement and nail people on this bill....I can hear the excuses now people are going to try to give officers in this one..."oh no officer I wasn't texting...what was I looking down at?  well...I was looking down at my *#*&%#.  Wanna See?"

Let's get back to the government thing for a second.  They're doing all they can to make sure the economy gets back on track.  Meanwhile, what do we do?  Sit and wait?  Hell no.  Time to get the house in order.  Is anyone recycling?  I buy the Ito-en drinks...the apple tea ones are my favorite...but I'll buy them in bulk when they go on sale only.  We'll recycle all we can.  I live in an apartment building.  They recycle the newspapers, bottles...I take the plastics to my sons school....I can't throw plastic bottles away anymore...I have to find a recycle bin or I take it with me.  I don't throw $#@$ out of the window anymore, or just throw paper on the side while walking like I see others do.  I pull stuff out of the ocean if it's floating by me.  I'm trying to teach all this stuff to my son.  I'm trying to watch how much paper anything we use.  All the lights off in the house...(continuously telling my son to turn the lights off) making sure the bulbs are energy efficient.  So much to do to make sure less goes in the landfill, helping the environment etc (OMG am I growing up *WAAHHHHH)  Are we all doing these things?

I'm trying to spend more time with family and my son when not working, trying to show him the right things....hoping I'm making a positive contribution to my families life, to our lives here in the islands our nation our planet....damn I'm on the soapbox this morning.

I'm rooting for Arizona because they are the underdogs, and because Travis LaBoy's wife is Nohea Tano, former UH Rainbow Wahine.  She was really cool when she was at UH...(and beautiful lol).  I've always rooted for the underdog.  I don't have any loyalty to Pittsburgh although I think they'll pull off the win.  I'm still going to cheer for Arizona though.  I'm rooting for BJ Penn in Vegas Saturday and cheering for UH Men's Volleyball Thursday and Friday.

I'm hoping you have a great weekend too!
