As an entertainment feature, perhaps this would be a wonderful movie; but sorry, itʻs a little too close to home, with too many variables that may affect us to take creative notion or dramatic license on the subject of our royalty. (See how some are not happy with the film). On the other side of this, perhaps this will encourage people to look deeper into our history of how Hawaiʻi came to be both in itʻs past and present. Perhaps it will be welcome attention to who we are. Here is the latest trailer from the motion picture "Princess Kaʻiulani" which was previously titled "The Barbarian Princess":

written by norman mizuno on January 18, 2009 Yes I see problems will historical facts within the film...BUT... unfortunatly most films are not very good at keeping to the facts......hopefully people will realize this and look in to finding out more about the Princess on there own.....to read about the Hawaiian side of the story as well as other sides. This at least shows some of the Pricesses ideas to a broader group of people. As Event Cordinator of the Pricess Ka'iulani Festival 2008 and 2009 on Maui, we hope to give the public more information about the Pricess as well as promote Hawaiian culture and it's fusion will other cultures here in Hawaii. And to honor one of Hawaii's Special Alii that is little known. Aloha, Norman Mizuno report abuse
