Canoe Racing
Image Outrigger Canoe Racing - O'ahu

Outrigger Canoe Racing is a sport in which an outrigger canoe is propelled by means of paddles.  The outrigger canoeʻs history dates back to the early Polynesians who navigated without charts or instruments and explored the Pacific.  Today there are canoe races held almost every weekend from May to September.  It is the official sport of the State of Hawaiʻi.

In Hawaiʻi there are several organizations that are devoted to this well known sport in Hawaiʻi with numerous sporting and social clubs located around the world and here in our Hawaiʻi Nei.
