Aloha!  Happy Girls Day!

Hope you didn't forget about that!  Boys Day is coming up on May 5.  3/3 girls, 5/5 boys.  That's for those that don't know...lol You would be surprised how many people called up and asked "What is girls day?  What day is it?".

We talked about how I was mad and embarrased this past Saturday.  I was down by one of the hotels in Waikiki, when I saw 3 polysnesian women with nice plumeria lei, giving them to tourists.  I thought what a nice touch by our hotels.  Little did I know it was our "Aloha" for sale...

The women:  One older maybe 40's or 50's.  The other two in their early to mid 20's or maybe teens.  They were giving the lei to the tourists, then asking them for donation.  I watched this repeat itself over and over.  I began to get mad.  I asked someone and was told that they are just off hotel property, so hotel security can't do anything.  Occasionally they call police and all police can do is to tell them to move along.

Meanwhile, the tourists have shocked looks on their faces when people they are asked to pay for the lei, or to make donation.  Some take it right off, give it back and walk away.  It's very unnerving. 

I didn't do anything, but next Saturday I will be down with camera in hand, and will confront them to see what happens.
