Remember I was telling you about the woman who had plumeria lei and was giving it to tourists then asking for donation last week?  I was so mad, it was like our "Aloha" was for sale...if you missed it the article is here.  I went back into Waikiki this weekend, and the woman was there again! So here's what I did...

 I went up to her asking if she would take our picture (my friend Eric Lee from the group "Na Kama" and myself).  Then while I was checking the picture, I took the picture of her while she was looking at us checking if the picture was ok.  This is the person who is out there doing this.  Such shame.  Next time I'm down there which will be after I come back from vacation; I'm going to confront her and let her know her picture is on this page.  You can click on the picture below to see it more closeup:

After I get back from vacation, I'm going to confront her and see what she says.  I'm so embarrassed and irritated.  You can see it in the faces of the tourists who are delighted at the sight and smell of the plumeria lei, but get disgusted when they're asked for money for it.  I'm going to stand there and tell people not to take it next time.

I have words to describe my irritation at her actions, but I figure if I can't use them on radio or tv, I probably shouldn't do it in print either.
